paris je t'aime

so I guess I went a bit photo crazy on this post, but I took over 600 pictures in 2.5 days. Craziness. It was such an AMAZING few days and I needed to share the love.
Our days were filled with:
numerous riverside picnics,
amazing sandwiches & salads from Eric Kayser (be jealous Rade),
the Ellen Von Unwerth exhibit at Le Bon Marche,
an accidental visit to Deyrolle,
sitting on the floor as a perfect spilled beer target watching the big soccer match,
vespa “taxi” rides to the park for an incredible picnic with the most delicious roasted chicken of my life,
me deciding to sell my car and buy a vespa and obsessing over this for the last two days,
falafels from l’as du fallafel (where else? best falafels ever),
enjoying the most incredible summer weather and acquiring odd tan lines,
enjoying time with great friends who are just as silly and in love as we are so they too enjoy being sappy and ridiculous.
my heart is overflowing with happiness right now :)
ok, and now back to reality. :(

weekend getaway!

The bag is almost packed and we are on our way to catch the train to Paris for a long weekend filled with picnics, good wine by the seine, delicious food, a little shopping & lots of photos! We are staying with some very dear friends who scoot around the city on that vespa above. (I know, I am jealous too!) They are amazing and we are so excited for lots of adventure and hoping the predicted sun and warm weather will be a reality! I am in much need of a getaway after 2 months at home, I hope all your weekends are lovely too!

Gogo Paris Guide

Once upon a time, when I lived in Paris, gogoparis.com was my favorite resource for finding cool happenings around the city, concerts, new restaurants, vernissages and to keep in the know. Now before every visit I always hit up the site for some inspiration and to discover fun new things to do. Now they just released a downloadable guide to Paris which is updated bi-monthly and I am sure worth the measly 8€ price. We are headed there next month for our long weekend and now I am even more excited than I already was :)
